Our trip would not have been successful without the help of Claude & Jacqueline.  They arranged our bike trip, made sure that we were well taken care of by our on-route hosts, picked us up and delivered us to the train stations, and generally did everything necessary to make our trip enjoyable.

Their home is a 250 year old farm house that has been tastefully restored.  "La Clos" served as our starting and ending base for the trip. We had our own section of the house (originally a chapel) that was very comfortable.  Claude and Jacqueline made every effort to make us welcome, from a welcoming pick-up at the Saumur train station to lunch at their home to departure.
